The first three weeks of summer training are officially over. It feels good to be healthy and back in the gym working towards next season already.
Unfortunately I have to inform you that my season has come to an end. During my travels I became ill and will be unable to continue out the season. So for now I am resting and recovering back home, and will be starting preparations for next season. Thank you all for you're continued love and support.
After a 20th place finish in last weekends race here in Königssee I have secured a rank in the top 15 men after the last three races. Which means I am pre qualified for next weeks race in Oberhof, Germany. The team and myself will depart tomorrow for a five hour drive north to Oberhof.
After a heavy week of snow fall here in Königssee and having only 5 official training runs, today was nations cup. I was a little bit nervous for the race but I was able to pull of a 6th place finish securing a spot in the World Cup here. Excited to see what happens, the weather fore cast is calling for more heavy snow.
Today I leave for the second half of my season which will be a nine week tour stopping in three countries. I have five World Cups in that time also World Championships, which will be held in Sigulda, Latvia. Earlier this year I had a week long training camp in Sigulda and that will be of tremendous aid when it comes to race time. Today myself and the team are on our way to Königssee, Germany which is located in the Bavarian region of Germany and is absolutely beautiful. Couldn't be more excited for what is to come in the new year.
Incredible weekend finishing 9th in the world cup and the sprint cup this weekend here in Calgary. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and showed support.
